Keeping up with your eye care is important especially if you have chronic conditions that need close monitoring to protect you from any unwanted vision loss. We are closely following the latest guidance from the CDC, Minnesota Department of Health and the American Academy of Ophthalmology to ensure we continue to provide the highest quality eye care to our patients while keeping them safe.

Here are a few changes we have implemented at Claris Eye Care & Surgery to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 as we move forward with seeing patients in the coming months at our clinic.

+Phone Check-in and Prescreen – If you have an appointment scheduled, you can expect a phone call from us a few days in advance. You will be asked a few health-related questions. We will also confirm basic check in information to speed along the process so you are roomed faster upon arrival.

+Screening – Please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. There will be a nurse station as you come in the door to welcome you and ask you a few health screening questions prior to entering the clinic.

+Limiting Visitors – Please plan to enter the clinic alone. Patients will be restricted from attending appointments with family members or others unless required for a legal (i.e. parent/guardian) or medical (i.e. mobility) reason.

+Masking – Our entire patient care team will be wearing masks for your safety. To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we are asking that patients bring and wear a protective mask or face covering to their upcoming appointment. Both the nose and mouth must be covered for the time you are in the clinic.

+Environment – Surfaces and equipment are disinfected between patients, and our waiting rooms have been arranged to accommodate appropriate social distancing standards.

Due to changing recommendations in the community, please call us for guidance on when to schedule your next appointment based on your individual situation and needs. We will work with you to keep you safe and determine the best time for your appointment.

Please call (612) 775-8009 for appointments, questions or concerns.

Best Regards,

Dr. Keith Carlson & Claris Staff
